This is a patch release where we introduce small changes or fix issues. The full list of changes is available in the changelog; this article will cover the most important changes.

CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor Now Support HTTP/2 Headers in Responses

This technical change will solve some possible issues with PayPal, Google reCAPTCHA, and other third-party services.

CS-Cart interacts with third-party services via requests and responses that have headers. Previously, CS-Cart always expected to see HTTP/1 in the headers of the responses. If the header contained HTTP/2 instead, CS-Cart couldn’t process the response. That could cause various problems: the status of a paid order didn’t change automatically even after PayPal had confirmed the payment; customers couldn’t pass human verification by Google, and so on.

This problem didn’t affect all stores: an HTTP/2 header in the response can occur if the server is configured that way. So, if everything worked fine and then went wrong without any obvious reason, it could be due to a sudden change in server settings. These changes may have occurred on shared hostings or servers with control panels.

CS-Cart and Multi-Vendor 4.9.2 address that problem: now the response will be understood even if the response header contains HTTP/2.

Unregistered Customers Can Leave Comments Once Again

In the previous version 4.9.1, users who didn’t sign in couldn’t leave comments. We have fixed this problem in version 4.9.2: now users will need to sign in only if the Comments and Reviews add-on has the “Only buyers can post” checkbox ticked. Otherwise, visitors won’t have to sign in.

To prevent spam, you can configure the Comments and Reviews add-on to make all comments (or only the ones from unregistered visitors) hidden by default. They will appear on the site only after the administrator’s approval.

The upgrades to version 4.9.2 are already available in your Upgrade Center. As usual, for the first few days, we limit the number of available upgrades and offer them on the first-come, first-served basis. If you don’t see an upgrade in your Upgrade Center, please try again later or in a few days.

Hello!
