In this post, we\u2019ll cover the biggest and brightest changes of the new version. <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.cs-cart.com\/4.16.x\/history\/4161.html\">The full list of changes is in the documentation.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">As always, the new version is released on the same day for all our products:<br \/><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cs-cart.com\/store-builder\" title=\"\">CS-Cart Store Builder for single-seller stores<\/a> <\/strong>and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cs-cart.com\/multivendor\" title=\"\"><strong>CS-Cart Multi-Vendor for marketplaces<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">It means that when you download On-Premises software from our site, you get version 4.16.1. The availability of upgrades from version 4.15.2 to 4.16.1 in the Upgrade Center may vary:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul style=\"background:linear-gradient(135deg,rgb(115,132,253) 0%,rgb(118,197,255) 100%)\" class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-background\">\n<li>For our <strong>On-Premises line of products<\/strong> (Store Builder and Multi-Vendor), upgrades to version 4.16.1 will initially be available in small batches, on the \u201cfirst downloaded, first upgraded\u201d basis. In a few weeks, we\u2019ll lift the restriction.<br \/><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For the <strong>cloud Multi-Vendor No-Code<\/strong>, these new features are coming as well, but at a later date. The customer experience depends on how vendors interact with customers, manage their product catalog, process orders, make deliveries, etc. Vendors do all this through the vendor panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In version 4.16.1, we have improved the vendor panel: now you can speed up the onboarding process of new vendors, as well as make their daily work easier on the marketplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Onboarding_guide_for_new_vendors\"><\/span>Onboarding guide for new vendors<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The first thing your new sellers see are the tips for getting started. Customize them as you see fit: change their order, add your own texts or videos for sellers. If your vendors already know what to do, they can dismiss any tip at any time.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New installations of Multi-Vendor 4.16.1 will have the standard onboarding tips enabled by default. If you upgrade an existing marketplace from version 4.15.2 to 4.16.1, the tips will be there too, but hidden by default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To enable or manage the tips, use the \u201cLog in as vendor\u201d functionality in the top right corner of the admin panel. Unlike the tips, announcements will disappear only after the administrator removes them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/j8u4qaKMaEYsDm7M4M\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" frameborder=\"0\" class=\"giphy-embed\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><p><a href=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/gifs\/j8u4qaKMaEYsDm7M4M\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_new_sidebar_for_vendor_panel\"><\/span>A new sidebar for vendor panel<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the new version, the possibilities for managing the menu bar expanded. Now you can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>rename menu items, change their order, hide or show the ones you need;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>add new menu items, leading to specific pages of the vendor panel, or even to a different site.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>What&#8217;s more, you can customize the colors of the vendor panel menu on the fly using ready-made color schemes or creating your own. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cs-cart.com\/blog\/meet-multi-vendor-4-14-1-with-new-vendor-panel\/#:~:text=important%20for%20you.-,New%20vendor%20panel,-Vendors%20interact%20with\">In 4.14.1, we have already added the ability to edit the content<\/a> and tailor the colors of the sidebar. In version 4.16.1, menu customization has become much faster and more intuitive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/Irsfw1M76Ydr3rHfyj\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" frameborder=\"0\" class=\"giphy-embed\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><p><a href=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/gifs\/Irsfw1M76Ydr3rHfyj\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"To-Do_List_with_hints_for_your_sellers_and_admins\"><\/span>To-Do List with hints for your sellers and admins<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Automatic prompts now appear in the vendor panel when something needs doing. For example, this is how vendors will know if they need to edit a product after your moderation. The admin will also see that some products are pending approval after vendor changes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;ve also updated the look and feel of the dashboard: analytics now looks more organized and business-focused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>These changes also apply to your admin panel in Multi-Vendor and Store Builder.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Owners of an online store, for example, may see hints that it is necessary to assign a category to several products, otherwise customers might not see them; or that buyers have sent messages to the admin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/n7MlmcRb2tfNECcr6I\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" frameborder=\"0\" class=\"giphy-embed\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><p><a href=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/gifs\/n7MlmcRb2tfNECcr6I\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Stripe-checkout\">Stripe Checkout for easy and secure payments<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The next change from version 4.16.1 will benefit both marketplaces and single-seller stores.<\/strong> Stripe Checkout is a separate page with a variety of payment options for your customers to choose from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The best thing is that you only need to configure one payment method in CS-Cart, and you\u2019ll get <em>a lot<\/em> of improvements out of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Plenty_of_new_payment_methods\"><\/span>Plenty of new payment methods<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Stripe Checkout allows for at least <a href=\"https:\/\/stripe.com\/payments\/checkout\">20 various payment options<\/a>. Provide customers around the world with familiar payment systems:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Afterpay<\/strong>\u2014for Australia, United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, and New Zealand<strong>;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>SofortKlarna<\/strong>, <strong>Przelewy24, SEPA Direct Debit<\/strong>\u2014for businesses from Europe;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>WeChat<\/strong>, <strong>Alipay<\/strong>, <strong>Giropay<\/strong>\u2014for<strong> <\/strong>Asia and beyond<strong>;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and any more are also available for selection. For example, consumers can pay for their purchases in four interest-fee installments charged every two weeks, or pay the entire amount within 30 days. Klarna and Afterpay pay you immediately in full and then collect payments from buyers themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:74% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"795\" width=\"800\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.cs-cart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/installements_ready.png?resize=800%2C795&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13216 size-full\"\/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_%E2%80%9Csafer_feel%E2%80%9D_to_checkout\"><\/span>A \u201csafer feel\u201d to checkout<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>CS-Cart software uses only trustworthy payment processors and never actually stores credit card data. But even though it is absolutely safe, customers might not know that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Provide a sense of security and reduce the potential anxiety about the safety of customer personal and financial information. When customers use familiar payment systems for their online purchases, they are less likely to abandon their carts. Additionally, the payment process and interface are well-known for customers, it can make the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cs-cart.com\/blog\/7-best-practices-to-ensure-a-seamless-checkout-experience\/\" title=\"\">checkout process<\/a> quicker and more seamless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:79% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"464\" width=\"800\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.cs-cart.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/looks_more_secure.png?resize=800%2C464&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13217 size-full\"\/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Split_the_money_automatically_in_all_those_scenarios\"><\/span>Split the money automatically in all those scenarios<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>All of the above changes from Stripe Checkout<\/strong> also work with Stripe Connect, a multi-party payment solution for marketplaces. And if a customer paid for their goods, for example, in <a href=\"https:\/\/simtechdev.com\/blog\/how-to-choose-an-installment-payment-system-for-an-ecommerce-site\/\" title=\"\">installments<\/a> on your marketplace, the scenario may be as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>You immediately receive the full amount;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stripe Checkout automatically split funds between you and your sellers;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Buyer pays in installments to Klarna or Afterpay.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The ability to use <strong>Apple and Google Pay<\/strong> in Multi-Vendor deserves a special mention. Now marketplace owners can apply automatic funds distribution when the buyer uses the above payment methods to pay for products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br \/>To add all these sweet payment-related changes, it is enough to set up one payment method with Stripe or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cs-cart.com\/blog\/what-is-stripe-connect\/\" title=\"\">Stripe Connect<\/a> processor and enable <strong>Stripe Checkout<\/strong> in its settings. Your customers leave their address and contact information in the store, and then proceed to the Stripe page to make the payment. Depending on their currency and location, Stripe automatically determines the payment options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Help-center\">Access to all our resources in one place through the Help Center<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>A significant part of the work with an online store or marketplace takes place in the Help Desk. However, CS-Cart has quite a lot of resources with useful information: <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.cs-cart.com\/latest\/\">documentation<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@cscartvideos\">video tutorials<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cs-cart.com\/marketplace-academy\">Academy<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/forum.cs-cart.com\/\">forum<\/a>. In version 4.16.1 we have collected all our resources in one place\u2014Help Center (opened by clicking on the question button). The updated Help Center has become more convenient, and the content in it is now divided into several sections:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Info on the functionality relevant to the page you\u2019re on. For example, on the \u201cProducts\u201d page you\u2019ll get the best articles and videos we have on product management in CS-Cart.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your communication with Customer Care, and the status of your latest tickets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Re\u0441ent changes to CS-Cart or important news and updates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Links to other resources, such as forums, blogs, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Keeping up to date with the latest news is much easier with the new Help Section. In version 4.16.1, we addressed the one that got brought up the most often: support of Stripe and Stripe Connect payment methods in the app. This means that when a buyer wants to purchase something via a mobile application of your marketplace, they will be able to pay for the order easily and quickly with a debit or credit card through Stripe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Multi-party payments through Stripe Connect now also work in the app. Example: a customer has ordered several products from different vendors through the application, and paid for the purchase through Stripe, making one payment for all products. Stripe Connect will distribute the profits among vendors and the marketplace automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Set up payments via Stripe and Stripe Connect in your application and get:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><em>Secure transactions.<\/em> Stripe uses secure encryption technology to protect customers&#8217; sensitive payment information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Global coverage. <\/em>Accept payments from customers in multiple countries, making it possible to expand client reach globally.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Increased sales. <\/em>Offering a user-friendly payment experience and supporting multiple payment methods can potentially increase sales and customer satisfaction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Search-add-on-market\">Search the Add-on Market from the admin panel<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>A huge number of CS-Cart features are included \u201cin the box\u201d. But if you want to make your store even more beautiful, functional, and user-friendly, then add-ons from other developers come into play. The Add-on Market is a place where you can find add-ons, themes, or a developer&nbsp; who can extend the standard functionality of CS-Cart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In version 4.16.1, you can find all third-party add-ons and themes in your admin panel. To do that, just go to Add-ons\u2192 Add-on Market. Select add-ons at discounted prices, search by name or by the vendor\u2019s name using multilingual search.
